#KMU hopes to give young Ukrainians a chance to continue to connect with their peers from across the continent, as well as pursue careers in healthcare to support their mental health and well-being during the war and become leaders for change in their communities as soon as possible.
The humanitarian mission called #Ukrainian Medical Education under Fire HealthCare in Danger aims to create safe and comfortable conditions for students and teachers in the Republic of Poland. The #KMU Summer Medical Camp is a part of this process and brings together 700 students from different universities of Ukraine in the Silesian Voivodeship (Poland) to participate in international academic/clinical mobility. We are confident that happy and educated young people will allow us to implement changes in their communities faster. All participants will improve their professional practice, enrich their experience in a foreign professional environment, and become more flexible specialists in the labour market. I am glad to see the happy youth of Kyiv Medical University-Official in #KMUPOLISHCAMPUS! The project is being implemented with the support of mayors, deputies, senators and the administration of the Silesian Voivodeship.

KMU SUMMER CAMP
The Summer Medical Camp of Kyiv Medical University in Poland is a unique opportunity for future doctors, dentists and pharmacists to immerse themselves in a comprehensive and cognitive environment.
Unfortunately, due to the war, the acquisition of practical skills, which are so necessary for a future medical professional, has become very dangerous.
KMU Summer Camp will provide participants with a wide range of activities and educational opportunities in a safe environment, without gunfire or explosions. Through clinical internships, practical workshops and master classes, students will gain valuable hands-on experience and improve their medical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
There will be fascinating lectures from prominent guest speakers who will share their knowledge and highlight the latest developments in medicine.
However, the camp is not only about learning without rest! We believe in the importance of balance, which is why the camp also includes exciting trips around Poland, participation in interesting sports and entertainment events. These activities provide a great opportunity for participants to relax, recharge and meet like-minded people.

LocationThe KMU Summer Camp is held at the KMU Polish Campus, which is located in the Katowice agglomeration of the Silesia region.
The main location is the city of Bytom.
However, clinical/pharmaceutical practice will take place in many nearby towns.
DatesThe KMU Summer Camp starts its work
on 1 July 2023 and runs for 2 months - until 31 August 2023.
Participant feeThe cost of participation in the KMU Summer Camp is $100 per month.
You can participate for 1 or 2 months (the recommended duration is 2 months).
Currently, the KMU team is actively looking for donor funds to make participation in the summer camp more affordable, and possibly free of charge.

About KMU
The best private university in Ukraine
For many years, Kyiv Medical University (founded in 1992) has been a true flagship of Ukrainian medical education. Our area of competence is medical, dental and pharmaceutical education in various forms (full-time, part-time, online, distance), scientific and educational events and publications.
